“blueVicar”?

How many times has someone who learned that you would be living abroad for an extended period said to you “I wish I could do what you are doing…I’ll just have to live vicariously through you”? Lots, no doubt.

The formal definition of “vicar” at Merriam-Webster Online is “one serving as a substitute agent” with “Etymology: Middle English from Latin vicarious”.

Since our stories tell about life lived abroad and others can visit the site to share those stories, it seemed appropriate to name the site related to “vicarious living.” In this way, all of us storytellers are vicars for others.

Oh…and why the blue? We happen to live next to the Mediterranean Sea in Antibes…ever seen the color of the water and the sky? That’s why!
